Chapters to be covered:

2.9, 3.3, 3.4, 6.1-6.8, 8.2, 9.1- 9.6, 10.1 – 10.4, 11.1 – 11.7, 12.1 – 12.4

Learning objectives in ALEKS: You have Learning Objectives (LO) based on what is

covered in class is due every week in ALEKS. ALEKS will be available on

Jan 27th. Get started on it right away as there will be quiz on the second class.

Details about it will be given in class. The students are required to work out all

the problems assigned. Textbook can be accessed through Blackboard.

Exams and Quizzes: There will be 3 Exams (not including the Final Exam) and 10 quizzes

including Pre Requisite Quiz. Calculators are not permitted. There will be

a pre requisite quiz covering exponents, operations with polynomials,

factoring, and systems of equations during the second class. A pre requisite

LO in ALEKS will help you prepare for this one.

Attendance: Students are expected to attend every class. The students are responsible for

any material covered, announcements made in the class, and changes in the

schedule regardless of their attendance.
